Vine fruit, prunes, dates, ginger and rum
Milly found this recipe in Australia 25 years ago and thought it deserved a new lease of life. Dates, prunes and vine fruits have been soaked in rum and lots of chunky stem ginger has been added too.

It’s an out of doors sort of cake – just the ticket for a picnic or with a mug of tea in the garden.
The shelf life is six months.
