All three cakes are made from ingredients sourced locally from the Ludlow area now famous for its foodie reputation. The Marmalade Cake, which won best new product at the 2011 Ludlow Food Festival, is made with marmalade produced at the Ludlow Food Centre. This Marmalade was voted the worlds best marmalade in 2009! The Apple Pear & Beer Cake is baked using Ludlow Gold Beer which is brewed right in the heart of Ludlow. Gold won the breweries first award back in 2006 winning the CAMRA Severn Valley Railway beer festival. The third cake, The Date & Fig Fruit Cake is baked using damson gin produced by The Chilton Damson Gin Co. The gin is produced from locally sourced damsons (Shropshire Prune variety) which are steeped in Greenalls Gin for six months to produce a rich plummy flavoured liqueur.
